CBDT issues income tax refunds worth Rs 70,120 crore so far in FY22

Total refunds income tax refunds consisted of Rs 16,753 crore and corporate tax refunds were worth Rs 53,367 crore.: Income tax department. CBDT issues refunds of over Rs 70,120 crore to more than 26.09 lakh taxpayers between 1st April, 2021 to 6th September, 2021. Due date of furnishing of returns of income for the assessment year 2021-22, has been extended to December 31, 2021, from September 30.
