Bhagwant Mann gets married to Dr Gurpreet Kaur; Arvind Kejriwal, Raghav Chaddha attend Punjab CM's wedding ceremony - See pics

Bhagwant Mann tied the knot with Dr Gurpreet Kaur from Pehowa in Kurukshetra in Haryana.

 

Bhagwant Mann, 48, is the first chief minister of Punjab to get married while in office.

 

Tight security arrangements were in place at Bhagwant Mann's home in Chandigarh's Sector 2.

 

This is Bhagwant Mann's second marriage. He separated from his first wife in 2015 and they have two children, daughter Seerat Kaur (21) and son Dilshan (17).

 

Gurpreet Kaur, 32, has completed her MBBS from a private university in Haryana in 2018. She has two elder sisters who are settled abroad.

 

 

Bhagwant Mann donned a golden attire and a yellow turban with traditional studded `kalgi` atop.

The wedding, which was solemnised according to Sikh rituals, was attended by Bhagwant Mann's mother and sister and just a few guests, including Arvind Kejriwal and his family.

Dr Gurpreet Kaur is reportedly the youngest of three sisters.

 

The food menu for the wedding included karahi paneer, lasagna Siciliano, tandoori kulche, dal makhani, navratan biryani, apricot stuffed kofta and Burrani Raita. A variety of lip-smacking sweets include fresh fruit trifle, moong dal halwa, angoori rasmalai and rabari.
