Delhi Election Voting Live Updates: 57.7% Turnout Recorded Till 5PM

As of 5 PM, the approximate voter turnout for the Delhi Assembly elections was 57.70%. The voting percentages across different districts were as follows:

Central Delhi: 55.24%
East Delhi: 58.98%
New Delhi: 54.37%
North Delhi: 57.24%
North East Delhi: 63.83%
North West Delhi: 58.05%
Shahdara: 61.35%
South Delhi: 55.72%
South East Delhi: 53.77%
South West Delhi: 58.86%
West Delhi: 57.42%

Delhi Voting Live Updates: Over 46% Turnout Recorded Till 3PM

Delhi records 46.55% voter turnout till 3 pm, as per Election Commission of India. The highest voter turnout was recorded in Babarpur at 51.75% while constituencies like Chandani Chowk, Karol Bagh, and Model Town recorded less than 40%.

Delhi Polling Live: Voter Turnout On Key Seats Till 11 AM 

As per the voter turnout app data, the turnout on New Delhi seat is 17.56%, Kalkaji 16.28% and Jangpura 18.13%.

Following a slow start, the voter turnout gathered some pace in the Delhi Assembly polls with 19.95% till 11 AM.

Some hotly contested seats with prominent candidates include the New Delhi Assembly constituency, Jangpura, Kalkaji, and others. Current Delhi CM and AAP leader Atishi is contesting the Kalkaji assembly constituency. She will oppose Congress' Alka Lamba and the BJP's Ramesh Bidhuri.

As per the voter turnout app data, the turnout on New Delhi seat is 7.41%, Kalkaji 6.19% and Jangpura 7.33%.

Delhi Elections Voting Live: Security Beefed Up In Capital

The Election Commission has deployed 220 companies of paramilitary forces, 35,626 Delhi Police personnel, and 19,000 home guards to ensure smooth voting. Nearly 3,000 polling booths have been identified as sensitive, with special security arrangements, including drone surveillance, at some locations. Delhi Police has stationed additional forces at sensitive booths, with Quick Reaction Teams (QRTs) deployed to maintain law and order.
